I recently stopped by The Hideaway while on a Harley ride in Newport and the Vibe was really cool and they had a super cute bartender working named Susan who was very inviting and very easy on the eyes. The place was playing some real chill music and the atmosphere was really inviting so I decided to stop in for a drink and bite to eat. Usually when I'm unfamiliar with the menu I'll ask the bartender/waitress what they recommend and she mentioned the Lamb Chops. It instantly made my mouth water and so I went with that, and she was so right!! They were delicious and came with a couple different kinds of Humus and Pita bread, it was the perfect about of food. As I sat there having great conversation with the bartender the owner Joe came over to see how I was enjoying my meal and he was very friendly and took his time talking with everyone in his place. As the night grew on more and more young single girls started to show up, at first I was a little taken back but there was groups of super attractive girls coming in together and posting up having drinks and listening to rad music. I definitely give this little hidden gem a 5 star review, simply because it's not the corporate norm for restaurants these days, it's a local owned amazing place that has a very bohemian vibe that you won't find anywhere around like it. Speaking for myself, I will definitely be back real soon. Thank you
P.s if you want to get away from the other Run-amuck bars where you can't hear yourself think because it's too loud, or can't find a place to sit and have a nice conversation with the person you're with, than The Hideaway is exactly what you are looking for with Chill atmosphere with Cool and attractive people. -

I just moved to Orange County and I like to discover local spots. This is definitely one of them. I met the owner Joe. He was totally cool and the lamb chop salad was pretty tasty and keto friendly.

Omg best brunch and bottomless mimosas. I had a simple eggs, bacon, tator tots and toast and everything was so yummy!! Perfect bacon...perfectly crisp tots...and the melt in your mouth toast. So so delicious. I ate all like a pig

Best kept secret on the peninsula. We were in the mood for a great burger and my son who works at a local bar across the street recommended The Hideaway. Well he wasn't kidding. The burger was super thick, juicy, and tasty. One of the best burgers I have ever had.
Susan was our server. She is darling! Super friendly and knowledgeable and really took good care of us.
If you're looking for a great burger a block from the beach I highly recommend trying The Hideaway.
